It's Rajun! It's Cajun! It's....

...the Crawfish Festival!

John and I spent Saturday afternoon on the shores of Lake Mary Jane in Orlando at the 18th Annual Rajuncajun Crawfish Festival with our friends the Spencers, and about 300 other people eating, well, crawfish, of course, along with shrimp, corn, potatoes, jambalaya, and other fixings, and listening to the live zydeco band, The Porchdogs. It was a real hoot, y'all. Jack and Will had fun hanging out at home with Uncle Jim and Andrew, and Leah hit the malls with Olivia.

Since we rarely pass up a chance to eat a meal outside on a nice spring day, this morning found us at a neighborhood cafe, Delano's, for brunch.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

yeah, it was a lot of fun... however in my opinion crawfish are a lot of work for a pretty small (yet tasty) payoff. The shrimp were huge, though. And they had the best fried chicken ever. I have no idea what John was laughing at - i probably don't want to know, either...
