Cast away!

And it's off! After repeated warnings that the taking-off-of-the-cast process would be traumatic for Will, he of course sat through it with a huge smile on his face! Xrays show that all is well... and he was able to finally go in the pool and take a bath when we got home! After the doctor appt, we went out to Gator's Dockside for a school-ending, summer kick-off celebratory dinner! Posted by Hello

Attack of the Killer Armadillos!

Well, you don't usually see these guys actually walking around, like, living. They are pretty famous for er... not living - armadillos and cars have a rather tumultous relationship. So imagine our surprise when we found three of them destoying our grass this morning! Posted by Hello

He's thinking about it...

We spent a nice day yesterday in St. Augustine... here we are outside the Castillo de San Marcos, giving Will a little encouragement! Posted by Hello

Sew What?

Today we had a traveling professor lead class... Gheghe! She led Jack & Leah through a sewing class, teaching them how to cut a pattern, use a sewing machine and hand-sew using different stitches. They made the pillows with Gheghe's guidance and they turned out great! Posted by Hello

A Rider's Soul

This past weekend, Leah competed in the USPC D-Rally in Deland, FL. After events including dressage, stadium jumping, and cross-country, Leah's team won second place in their division! During the competition, Leah fell from her horse and her horse, Angel, accidentally stepped on her arm... but besides a rather large bruise and scrape, Leah is fine! She got back on Angel and finished out the Rally. As her cousin Ashley says, "now she has a rider's soul!" Posted by Hello

Our Renaissance Kids!

Leah and Jack find out how it must have been for Michelangelo to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel... not easy! And their teacher told them that they will have to work on their masterpieces for four years! Posted by Hello

Well, I Had to Walk to School Uphill - Both Ways!

Guess how far food has to travel to make it all the way through your digestive system? If you are an average-sized kid, your food has to travel 21 feet! Not only that, it takes three days to accomplish this feat! Posted by Hello

Relax! He's smiling, isn't he?

Didn't think the first kid in our family to suffer a broken bone would be Will... but alas, xrays show a small fracture in his right wrist! How did he do it? Well, we don't know. Probably fell on his hands or something. He woke up very crabby Sunday morning, and as the day went on we realized he wasn't crawling or putting any weight on that hand... so we xrayed him at John's office. Then it was off to the orthopedist for a cool blue cast! The cast goes all the way up to right below his shoulder, and will stay on for three weeks. Fun stuff! Posted by Hello

Jack speaks.

I had a birthday party on Saturday! We went to the Skate Park and then went back to my house for pizza, cake, and swimming! Posted by Hello
