Karen and I took the kids to the Cape Canaveral National Seashore... a beautiful day! March has certainly come in like a lamb in our neck of the woods. We walked up the Turtle Mound, a 50 foot shell midden left by the Timacuan Indians - the largest mound in the country. At the beach, Jack, Andy & Leah found their fun as usual, digging a large "hot tub" for the three of them to lounge in, and riding their skinboard down a sandy incline into the water (Leah never taking of her socks, not sure why...) Later, we collected all sorts of shells, and Karen led the kids through a shell-identification lesson. As for Will, he led the class in an analogy lesson: WILL:OCEAN as MAGNET:STEEL.

(I tried posting this earlier --guess it's floating around in cyberspace somewhere!)
I think you posted all this "beach in March" stuff on purpose when we are under a winter storm warning for tomorrow. And not just the pretty snow, either. Our favorite: SLEET! Wise guy.
xxxxxooooo
BTW, love the pictures. Will looks like he is in his glory! Sweet boy.
sorry... didn't know... you can always come down early!
Well, I guess it's good that March has come in like a lamb somewhere- just wish it was eastern Long Island!!! How wonderful to be at the beach in March. I'm very jealous!!
