Fri.....DAY!!

Happy weekend to all! The week cruised by for us, but the time change thing has us draggin'. The only one who seems to have easily adapted is Will. I do enjoy the extra hour of sun, and as soon as my sleep schedule falls in line, it will be great.

This week we covered alot of ground - we learned about King Phillip taking over the Greek city-states in 338 BC, and the ambitious expansion led by his son, Alexander the Great. Leah especially liked hearing about Bucephalus, Alexander's mighty war horse. We also explored some ancient tribes of the Americas... we learned of the mysterious line drawings of the Nazcas in what is now Peru, and the 10 foot stone heads left behind by the Olmec tribe of Central America - now Mexico. Leah and Jack decided they want to actually take a trip to see the heads someday... so my inner travel agent is going into overdrive! Next week, it's the birth of Rome.

Have a great weekend! A

Too bad. I didn't notice anything here either -- not that I remembered about it until it was over...:(
