We had a great time on our trip to the St. Augustine Lighthouse yesterday! We attended the Lighthouse's "Homeschool Days," learning about pirates and the history of the lighthouse. Leah, Aunt Karen and Andrew made the 219 steps to the top, where they could see for miles! After making a compass, designing a pirate flag, and walking the trails through the woods, we hit downtown St. Augustine - visiting the Castillo de San Marcos and the USA's Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse.

Cool. Another fun outing! Glad you got a chance to see the lighthouse -- maybe you should make it a project to see as many lighthouses as you can. I think we have one near us. ;) Let's go see it sometime!
