We heart music!

We ate dinner last night at Sparky's Landing... an open air waterfront restaurant with a live band. The kids loved listening to the music and requesting songs. The band was impressed with the kids' knowledge and love of classic rock songs, and praised us parents for teaching them about good music. We didn't bother telling them that it is actually due to many hours spent playing Guitar Hero...

These kids are definitely having a dream vacation! They are very lucky.

Classic rock, huh? You mean from the 60s....? ;)

Um what's your beef?

That list shows like all 70s bands.

Anyway, the classic rock era would probably be defined as maybe 1966 - 1980 or so... so its mostly 70s with some 60's thrown in. For example, early Beatles songs such as love me do or something would never be played on a classic rock station, but later Beatles, like abbey road, would be.

Beef? I'm a salad girl myself.

Just playin' with you, m'dear. Classic rock means different things to different people. ;)

The reference to the 60s certainly doesn't include, to my mind, the early 60s. The true "60s" attitude, lifestyle and music began in the mid 60s -- like when I was a sophomore.

And, I believe you will find that many of the bands on that list that you call 70s bands started in the 60s. :)
