And so it begins (again)...
Jack had his first football game of the season yesterday. This year he plays for his school in the NFL Flag Football League. The game started about 90 minutes late, which is always fun, but they did end up winning and also got many chances to slip and slide in the wet mud, which apparently, is also always fun.

does he start tackle eventually or does he prefer the flag variety?
The politics and culture of youth tackle football is more than Jack's mother can bear. Basketball is really his sport, flag football is kind of just an add-on.
What is his team called?
