We spent the day today putting up our tree and lights. Leah, Will, and I handled the inside job, while John and Jack worked hard on the outside. Nice to have all the work out of the way, now we can enjoy it!

can we see the finished product of the inside and out?
boy, am i jealous! we just got back from vermont and have to start decorating! i proposed an artificial, pre-lit tree this year but got totally shot down. it would be a whole lot easier and could be put up earlier- oh well.
I used to insist on a real tree, until the year our tree harbored a hidden tick nest, unbeknownst to us... it took us MONTHS to rid our house of those ticks. I still have nightmares about it. The pre-lit artificials are great. You want pine smell? Light a candle!;)
yikes! a tick nest- that's awful! I always said i'd never go artificial but with everything else there is to do, not having to do the lights and not having to wait until almost Christmas to put it up sounds REALLY good to me.
I've always had an artifical tree. Now I'd never want to cut down a real one out of principle but that is just me. If that is what you're into, I say hack away, minus the tick nest of course.
I love the pictures! Aunt Sherry gave me a heads up to check out Will's toes in the picture of him with the Nativity -- so cute! And it's nice to see that Jack is in the holiday spirit! ;) We do artificial also. It has worked out best for us these days since we're away sometimes. Don't have to water and sweep up pine needles for the next 10 months either!

Are you going to do the title "It's Beggining to Look a Lot Like Christmas" every single Christmas??
