What kind of summer would it be if we did not visit the grave of a past American president? This time we drove out to Oyster Bay, Long Island, to pay respects to one of the greatest presidents ever - the Bull Moose, Teddy Roosevelt.
In other cemetery news, we stopped at Kensico Cemetery in Vallhalla, NY, where John's dad was born. (Yes, he was born in the cemetery.) We visited the graves of John's grandparents, Michael & Anna, who emigrated to the US from Italy. We also visited the graves of swing band leader Tommy Dorsey and Yankee Lou Gehrig.
Yes, I like graveyards. Deal with it!
Fog anyone?

Hmm...i think you missed a couple yankees! Babe Ruth, and Billy Martin are also buried there! GRandpa used to go and take all the yankee hats off Billy Martins grave!
Love, Jodie
Hey, chick, I know my graveyards! Those two are buried at Gates of Heaven, which is down the road from Kensico - but by the time we got there, it was closed for the day!
