Yesterday we enjoyed the great weather out on the Intracoastal Waterway in Daytona. We took a nice boat ride and anchored at one of the area's "Disappearing Islands" - a strip of beach that appears during low tide and slowly "disappears" as the tide comes in. These islands are popular spots for boaters, who anchor on the shore and sit, picnic, and play on the beach. The kids had a great time playing in the warm tide pools that formed on the island. If you have noticed that the boat looks different from this one, that is because it is! We made a decision to trade in the cruiser for a smaller, trailerable deck boat. We were just not using the cruiser like we had hoped we would, and it was becoming the proverbial money pit. We are very happy with the decision, as we had a great, low-stress day yesterday! John and Jack are looking forward to starting wakeboarding as soon as Jack gets the OK from the orthopedist.
I thought that boat wasn't the same one! Sounds like a good decision -- more fun and less stress (and less $$$!) -- and a great day. Reminds me of how much fun we used to have at the beach when I was a kid and the ocean had formed a big sandbar. The water was warm and there were lots of little pools to play in. Again, love the picture of Will -- he makes me laugh even when he's sleeping!

I wish Will could just chill out! Looks like you all are having a great time!
She's a beauty! Have you come up with any names yet? Looks like you all had a great day, wish we could have been enjoying it with you.
There are a few names under consideration... looking forward to seeing YOUR new boat on your blog soon!
