it is SURVIVAL. swim/float until you find an out. He knew his teacher was closer to him in both videos, so he swam/floated towards her rather than the wall. It is pretty difficult to swim wearing jeans and sneakers, so he opted to float more than usual.
got it! just making sure he was ok. all these videos scare me.
Actually, the videos should make you feel better - if he were to accidentally fall in, he can survive in the water for a bit, giving himself some extra time to be rescued!
