Well, Jack decided to kick off his summer vacation in the ER!
Things got a little rough on the inflatable slide he was playing on while attending John's company picnic. He says he felt something crack, then pain. He said, "I think this is a really big injury!" Xrays confirmed a broken collarbone. Jack was actually relieved to hear that it was broken - he was afraid he had dislocated his shoulder and would have to have it re-located. He will have to wear a sling for about 2 weeks, and will probably be completely healed in about 6 weeks.
He is doing great and was very brave!

Jack we are so sorry to hear about your injury. We promise to take care of you next week. Tom said, concrete is made from limestone so if you eat lots of limes you will heal faster. Don't ask me, I am only married to him.
I thoght for sure Tommy and Austin would get that one!
i'm going to say it is from a football movie, which one, i don't know but trying to break someones body sure sounds like a football thing to do.

Geesh. I leave you guys alone for a couple of days and look at you. Well, at least it wasn't killer gators, sharks, or crazy rednecks on airboats. Those inflatable slides will get you every time!
Sorry you got hurt, Jack. Take it easy and you'll be back out there in no time! You can trade crazy injury stories with your uncles --they've seen a few casts, slings and stitches in their day!

Jack, we hope you heal very quickly! We're looking forward to seeing all of you over the summer and don't want you to be hurt! You can also ask Tom about some of your uncles' injuries- from what I hear he caused quite a few of them!

It wasn't so much the slide as the dogpile of boys at the bottom!
Forget the limes Jack. I am going to bring you some gummy bears. Geesh these doctors dont know anything about what kids need.
