Yesterday we enjoyed the great weather out on the Intracoastal Waterway in Daytona. We took a nice boat ride and anchored at one of the area's "Disappearing Islands" - a strip of beach that appears during low tide and slowly "disappears" as the tide comes in. These islands are popular spots for boaters, who anchor on the shore and sit, picnic, and play on the beach. The kids had a great time playing in the warm tide pools that formed on the island. If you have noticed that the boat looks different from this one, that is because it is! We made a decision to trade in the cruiser for a smaller, trailerable deck boat. We were just not using the cruiser like we had hoped we would, and it was becoming the proverbial money pit. We are very happy with the decision, as we had a great, low-stress day yesterday! John and Jack are looking forward to starting wakeboarding as soon as Jack gets the OK from the orthopedist.
